1. WARRANTY PERIOD, SCOPE, AND CLAIM PROCEDURE

Woodsman cat furniture is produced with the highest quality wood materials and meticulous craftsmanship; the structural integrity of our products is covered by our company's (ÖRS A.Ş.) warranty for a period of 2 (two) years from the date of delivery.

What is the Scope of the Warranty? Provided that the product is assembled in accordance with the assembly diagram and used for its intended purpose (cat furniture), this warranty covers structural defects arising entirely from production, workmanship, or the materials used (wood cutting errors, missing/defective hole sockets, etc.).

Warranty Claim Procedure and Requirement to Submit Invoice (Important): When you identify a potential production defect, it is sufficient to send clear photos of the defective area and your Order Number (or your e-archive invoice) to info@woodsman.com.tr to initiate the warranty process quickly.

Warranty Status for Second-Hand Purchases: The Woodsman warranty service is valid only for the "first and original buyer" who shops through our company's official sales channels. Warranty rights cannot be exercised for "second-hand" products acquired from second-hand platforms such as Dolap, Letgo, Sahibinden, or from third parties. To process warranty claims, it is a legal requirement to provide a matching order number registered in our system or an invoice issued in your name.

 

2. DISTINCTION BETWEEN "NATURAL WEAR AND TEAR" (DEPRECIATION) AND ANIMAL INSTINCT

Woodsman cat furniture is specially designed for our animal companions to safely satisfy their most basic natural instincts—such as climbing, scratching, hunting, and playing—within the home environment. The fundamental purpose of these products is to prevent damage to other items in your home (sofas, rugs, etc.) and to ensure your cat directs its energy toward these pieces of furniture.

In accordance with this direct intended use, certain physical changes that occur over time as a result of your cat actively using the product are not considered a "Defect" (Production Error) under the Consumer Law No. 6502, but rather "Natural Wear and Tear (Depreciation)" and are outside the scope of the legal warranty.

"Natural Wear and Tear" Situations Outside the Warranty Scope:

  • Scratching Posts (Sisal/Jute Ropes): Your cat wearing out the ropes through its scratching instinct, the ropes becoming fuzzy or frayed over time, or snapping due to heavy use.
  • Plush and Fabric Surfaces: Tears, unraveling, shedding, staining, or fading occurring on the fabric/plush due to lying on, climbing, or clawing.
  • Wood Deformations: Bite marks, chipping, or liquid damage caused by saliva resulting from your cat biting/chewing the wooden edges or corners.

Such wear and tear arising from the nature of the product are not replaced free of charge under warranty. However, as Woodsman, we would like to remind you that we offer the opportunity to replace these parts that your pet loves and wears out with new ones under our "Paid Spare Parts Support" (Article 4), without needing to throw away the furniture.

 

3. SITUATIONS OUTSIDE THE WARRANTY SCOPE (User Error)

The 2-year legal warranty coverage of Woodsman cat furniture only includes production and material defects. After the product is delivered to the consumer without damage, all damages occurring as a result of incorrect or careless use contrary to the user manual mentioned below are considered "User Error" and are excluded from the warranty scope:

  • Incorrect Assembly (DIY Errors): Products are shipped disassembled. Assemblies made contrary to the installation diagram or assembly video, use of incorrectly sized screws, or bursting, cracking, or stripping the threads of the wood by over-tightening screws with a drill or Allen key (applying excessive torque) are strictly user errors.
  • Liquid Contact and Incorrect Cleaning: The main body of our cat furniture is produced from high-quality wood materials. Swelling, blistering, molding, and discoloration resulting from exposing the product directly to water, keeping it in the bathroom or under rain on an open balcony/garden, or wiping wooden parts with harsh chemicals (bleach, acidic cleaners, etc.) or soaking-wet cloths are outside the warranty scope.
  • Physical Impact and Dropping: Breaking, crushing, and structural collapse occurring on the wood or support columns as a result of dropping the product during relocation within the home or moving, hitting it against a hard object, or having a heavy object fall on it.
  • Use Outside the Intended Purpose: Contrary to the fact that the products are designed solely for cat use; the use by dogs or other pets, or the product tipping over/breaking due to humans sitting on, stepping on, or leaning against it, causing the static balance to be disrupted.

In case of user-caused damages of the types listed above or similar, the product or the defective part will not be replaced free of charge.

 

4. PAID SPARE PARTS SUPPORT (After-Sales Solution Guarantee)

As Woodsman, our priority is for your pet to use its furniture for years with the same confidence and aesthetics as on the first day. Even if your product's 2-year legal warranty period has expired, or even if the damage to the product falls under "User Error" (Article 3) or "Natural Wear and Tear" (Article 2), we certainly do not leave you and your pet without a solution.

Modular System Advantage and Renewal Opportunity: Thanks to the smart modular structure of our cat furniture, you do not need to throw away the whole product and buy a new tower to replace a wooden piece you cracked due to faulty assembly, a sisal scratching post your cat wore out and tore over the years, or a plush bed that had liquid spilled on it.

Provision of Spare Parts at Cost: In all damage and wear situations that fall outside the warranty scope, you can request "Paid Spare Parts" for the specific wooden module, screw set, plush, or scratching post you need. In line with our sustainability and customer satisfaction principles; these spare parts are offered to you at the most affordable production costs and transparent shipping fees, without considering exorbitant profit margins.

5. 15 (FIFTEEN) KG CAPACITY LIMIT AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS (Disclaimer)

Woodsman cat furniture is produced with precision engineering and static balance calculations, taking into account cats' anatomical structures, jumping acceleration, and average weights. The maximum carrying capacity determined for the safe use of our products is 10 (ten) kilograms for each wooden module/platform.

For your safety and that of our animal companions, the following usage and safety limits must be strictly adhered to:

  • Excessive Weight and Use by Different Animals: Our products are designed only for cats. Any stretching, collapsing, or breaking that may occur in the product as a result of use by obese-prone/large breed cats exceeding the 15 kg limit, dogs, or other pets is completely outside the warranty scope.
  • Human Contact and Loading: Cat furniture is not produced with the static strength suitable for humans (adults or children) to sit on, step on to reach higher, place items on, or lean against. Tipping over and breaking resulting from excessive human-induced loading will be considered "Use Outside the Intended Purpose" (Article 3).
  • Disclaimer (Waiver): ÖRS A.Ş. cannot be held responsible for any material or bodily (physical) damage that may be caused to pets, humans, or surrounding property by wooden supports breaking or the unit tipping over due to exceeding the 15 kg carrying capacity or using it outside its intended purpose (human/dog use, etc.). Any risk and legal liability arising from such misuse belong entirely to the user/buyer.

 

6. CHILD SAFETY WARNING

Although Woodsman cat furniture has an aesthetic and fun design that will harmonize with your home decor; these products are strictly not "children's toys" or "nursery furniture." For the safety of the small children in your home, the following vital warnings must be strictly followed:

  • 0-3 Age Choking and Swallowing Hazard: Our products are sent disassembled, along with an assembly kit containing mounting screws, Allen keys, wooden dowels, and small hardware parts. Since these small parts create a serious swallowing and choking hazard for infants and small children, children aged 0-3 must be kept away from the assembly area during package opening and installation processes.
  • Climbing and Tipping Hazard: Our cat towers and modules that are not wall-mounted are balanced solely according to the center of gravity and jumping acceleration of cats (with the 15 kg static limit stated in Article 5). In the event that children try to climb these towers, hang on them, or get inside them, it is inevitable that the product will tip over and lead to injuries by having heavy wooden blocks fall on the children.
  • Absolute Disclaimer (Waiver): Our company (ÖRS A.Ş.) cannot be held responsible for any bodily harm, injury, or loss of life such as tipping, getting trapped, falling, or suffocation that may occur as a result of the product being left accessible to children, the ingestion of installation parts by children, or children climbing on or playing with the product. Parents are solely and fully responsible for ensuring the safety of children in the environment where the product is located and preventing them from playing with the product.

 

7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATIONS

In order for your Woodsman cat furniture to maintain its first-day elegance and structural integrity for years, maintenance and cleaning operations must be performed by strictly following the instructions below:

  • Cleaning Wooden Surfaces (Important Chemical Warning): The wooden surfaces of our products are treated with pet-safe protectors that are free of toxic substances, suitable for your pet's paws and mouth contact. When cleaning the wooden parts, NEVER USE bleach, spirit of salt, acetone, thinner, alcohol, ammonia, or surface cleaners containing concentrated chemicals. Such aggressive chemicals melt the wood's protective layer, leading to discoloration, blistering, and permanent stains. Furthermore, these chemicals absorbed by the wood carry a serious risk of poisoning if your cat licks the furniture. You should wipe the wooden modules only with a soft microfiber cloth that is slightly damp (not soaking wet) and then be sure to remove the moisture with a dry cloth.
  • Scratching Posts (Sisal/Jute Ropes): Never wash or soak rope-wrapped scratching posts with plenty of water. When these ropes, produced from natural fibers, absorb water, they rot from the inside out, loosen, and produce a heavy odor. Clean the ropes only with the help of a dry brush, lint roller, or vacuum cleaner.
  • Plush and Fabric Surfaces: Do not wash the fixed fabric/plush beds on the product in a washing machine. You can clean these parts using lint rollers, or wipe them superficially with a cloth or sponge lightly dampened only with plain water. You may also clean them using a vacuum cleaner.

Any swelling, peeling, discoloration, or decay that may occur in the product as a result of failure to comply with the cleaning and maintenance instructions specified above (especially the use of chemicals or contact with liquids) will be evaluated entirely under "User Error" (Article 3) and will be outside the scope of the warranty.
